In addition to being quicker and cheaper than most means of conducting a survey – email surveys are more accurate!
People are more honest, direct, and frank online than they are in person or over the phone. An online researcher reportedly asked the same question in an intercept (face to face, on the spot) survey and via the Internet. The question was “How often do you bathe or shower each week?” The average via the Internet was 4.8 times. The result from the intercept interview was 6.2 times. (Which do you think is more honest?)
